Login Errors

Error Message: “Invalid cTID or Password, please check and try again.”

  • Double-check your email and password. Copy and paste carefully, ensuring there are no spaces.

Connection Errors

Error Message: “Connection error, please check your internet connection or try again.”

Unstable or Slow Internet connection

  • An unstable connection isn’t the same as a slow connection, and both can interrupt trading activity. A low-bandwidth or unreliable connection may cause cTrader to log out, drop information, or delay trades due to slippage. In such cases, the platform will attempt to reconnect via a lower-latency proxy as a safety mechanism.

  • For reliable performance, cTrader requires at least 50 kB/s (≈ 400 kbps). However, a faster connection, at least 100 kB/s (≈ 800 kbps), is recommended, especially for multiple charts or active indicators.

  • Please ensure the bandwidth is sufficient, especially if you plan to open multiple charts simultaneously, as this increases data throughput requirements.

Browser Issues

  • If cTrader is slow, freezing, or unresponsive:

    • Press F5 to refresh the page.

    • Clear browser cache to improve performance.

Chart Inaccuracy

  • Rarely, cached historical data may cause incorrect chart values.

  • To fix:

    • Right-click the chart → Refresh.

    • Or clear the browser cache manually and press F5 to reload historical data.

Local Detection Issues

  • Some non-US users may see a US restriction warning due to VPN usage or incorrect geo-IP detection.

  • If you are not located in the US, simply confirm non-US residence.

  • For US residents, cTrader will forcibly shut down in compliance with regulations.
